1. SERVICE HOURS
The IMC is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday without noon breaks. To avail of the IMC services making the reservation for the venue is necessary.
The IMC is closed every Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.However, when there is a need for the use of its facilities, arrangements can be made with the IMC Staff.
2. CLIENTELE
The IMC facilities and services are offered to:
- All learners currently enrolled in the school.
- All faculty and personnel of the school.
- Parents and members of SMASA Alumni Association (with approved letter of request)
- Former employees and visitors (with approved letter of request who wish to avail of the services of the center)
3. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR IN THE LIBRARY AREA
a. Respect and courtesy must be observed in dealing with the IMC Staff at all times.
b. Keep the Library Area conducive for learning. Observe silence at all times.
c. Unnecessary group discussion and other distracting noise must be avoided.
d. Before entering the Library area, all personal belongings (bags, folders/envelopes, containers, umbrellas, etc.) must be placed on the counter reserved for them. Only needed notebooks, paper and writing materials may be brought inside the Library.
e. In case the learner needs to bring his/her personal book, he/ she must inform the Librarian or Library Assistants about the matter.
f. Handle all books and Library materials with care. Stealing, defacing or mutilating of books periodicals and other IMC materials are considered grave offenses. Replacement or payment of the lost materials due to negligence of the borrower will be demanded. Furthermore, offenders will be subjected to disciplinary action according to the provisions of the Student Handbook once found guilty.
g. No two learners can sit on one chair or more than six learners to occupy one table.
h. As a rule, learners must present first the borrowed materials to the IMC Staff for proper inspection prior to leaving the library.
i. The Use of the library by a class is most welcome provided that the subject teacher makes a reservation with the Librarian or Library Assistant. The booking must be made at least one day prior to the scheduled use of the library.
j. Eating, sleeping and littering are not allowed inside the Library area.
k. Keep the place clean and in order, and return all chairs used upon leaving the library.
l. Use the Internet in a responsible manner. The following are strictly prohibited:
- the use of flash drive or other storage devices
- encoding of reports, doing of projects and checking of e-mail
- abuse or misuse of computers
- attempting to install or modify programs designed to damage or alter the software
- accessing files, passwords or data belonging to others.
- accessing to pornographic materials and sexually explicit graphics,
- displaying or transmitting profane, abusive or threatening language and harassing materials.
- violating copyright law by unauthorized copying of software or other research information taken from the Internet.

5. BOOK RESERVATION AND BORROWING DURING ONLINE DISTANCE LEARNING
BORROWING OF BOOKS
- Online reservation of books will be done by the borrowers by accomplishing the Check-Out Form. (Click here)
- Book/s requested will be ready after two working days from the date of request. The borrower will be notified via official email/Genyo once the book/s is /are ready for pick up.
- All requested book/s will be safely packed and will be ready for pick up at the Guard House.
- Pick-up time is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday and 8:00 am to 11:30am on Saturday.
- A representative may get the book/s on behalf of the borrower by presenting the borrower’s ID.
RETURNING POLICY
- Before returning the book, accomplish and submit the “Book Return Form”. (Click here)
- The borrowers are responsible for ensuring that all library materials are returned in good condition, that is, in the same condition as when the items were checked out.
- The books may be dropped off at the designated book drop stations at the Guard House from 7:00 am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
BOOK RENEWAL
- Book/s may be renewed online by accomplishing the Book Renewal Form (Click here). The learners and school personnel can renew the borrowed book/s only once.
OVERDUE/ PENALTY POLICY
- The IMC Personnel will send an overdue notification to the borrower/s, 2 days before the actual due date of the book/s.
- The borrower who failed to return the book on time will pay the overdue fine of Php 5.00 per book and per day starting from the overdue date.

REFERRAL LETTER Given to faculty who wish to use/visit to other libraries, only if the needed materials are not available. The researcher is referred to other libraries in Metro Manila. (Click here)
AV MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT
Equipment and materials may be borrowed by the school personnel who are reporting on-site upon accomplishing and submitting the google form (Click here). Returning of the equipment and materials is from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
